1. Is your legal business name registered and verified with the state?
Check your Secretary of State business search to confirm the exact legal name is active and matches your filings.
2. Is your entity (LLC/Corp) formally established and in good standing?
Pull a Good Standing certificate from the Secretary of State; confirm there are no delinquent or admin-dissolved flags.
3. Do you have an EIN and up-to-date IRS documentation on file?
You should hold the IRS CP575 (or 147C) letter showing your official Employer Identification Number.
4. Do you have an operating agreement or bylaws in place?
A signed Operating Agreement (LLC) or corporate bylaws document — not just a blank template.
5. Do you have a registered agent and a verified business address?
Confirm your registered agent contact info is current and your business address meets state requirements.
